Some. will make you laugh, some may bring tears, all of these stories have in some way taught me more about life.

Transformative Storytelling Combined With Teachable Moments, are the most powerful way of influencing and inspiring others to think and act differently. "If you control a man's thinking - you don't have to be concerned about his actions." - Carter G. Woodson
Stories are most effective when they tap into emotions, create a sense of urgency or connection, and align with your audience's habits, often performing best when told at the moment when your audience's is likely to be most receptive. Two of the most important aspects of effective story telling is selection and timing.
Real life stories from the life of the story teller that are selected and told to audience's based on on a particular moment in time when the audience experience a feeling of, he is talking to me, he is talking about me, I see what she means, I understand or perhaps, I need to change or I will change. Stories that are properly selected and told a the right time, stories that produces an emotional reaction from your audience.
Most often Stories are told to:
- To persuade: When facts are weak, stories bolster them; when facts are strong, let them stand alone, as stories can sometimes distract, according to research.
- To engage: Show, don't just tell, emotions (e.g., sighing for relief, tapping a pen for anxiety) to make them more immediate and powerful.
- To connect: Use them for authentic, real-time glimpses into your life or brand, fostering relatability.
- As a teaching tool. - If you are unable to get in to the minds of your children, YOU LOSE! Yelling and screaming an hollowing don't work! Well, It really does, but not in the way you want it too!
Those who have a unique ability to properly select "the right story" and tell it at "the right time" holds the Masters Keys to Story Telling. Those are the stories that, touch souls, alters behavior & changes lives.
The most effective means of story telling comes when a very specific story is told when it has the best chance of capturing the attention of the listener. Stories told at the right moment has the best chance of "penetrating the souls" of the listener(s). One of the most important aspects of storytelling is that they are often as effective on the presenter as they are on the receiver. Stories changed my life!
You should focus on your specific audience's behavior and use stories for raw, engaging, and emotional connection, while complementing others content rather than replacing it.
But before anything, I suggest you go back and review your life, your past and write you own story! Doing so will very likely lead you to a great deal of inner peace! It did for me!
